Kathleen Jones, who last year was awarded Kent County Teacher of the Year for 2011-2012, has had a remarkable success in her chosen field of education since graduating from Washington College in the late 1970s. As a special education specialist with over thirty years experience, her perspective on Kent County Schools spans twenty-five years of observation and direct involvement. Not surprisingly, Kathleen’s passionate commitment and support for public education in Chestertown and Kent County remains her first priority and she discusses the current state of county schools and their future.
